Amazing Woman Power Comes to Jamaica at Hilton Kingston to highlight Social Change through Grassroots Initiative.
Amazing Woman’s Day - How it began
The Amazing Woman’s Day Celebration was first conceived nearly a decade ago by speaker, author and feminine success leader, Marsh Engle. As the activities, programs and outreach of the Amazing Woman’s Day initiative has expanded over the years, the core mission remained the same: It was in March, 2001 that women throughout the nation first joined to establish the Amazing Woman’s Day movement in ten cities throughout the United States.
To mark the first celebration, over 1,000 inspirational speakers, media personalities, well-being experts and authors volunteered their time to honor women from all walks of life. Participants included those from the Coach University life coaching community, NIA Technique instructors, and more. In our first year, the event was underwritten by GENERAL MILLS. In 2002 the celebration grew to 50 cities nationwide and was hosted in BORDERS BOOKSTORES. The same year Amazing Woman’s Day was written into the U.S. Congressional Record establishing our programs as a nationwide movement to celebrate the ingenuity and creativity of women everywhere. Since that time, Amazing Woman's Day has served to inspire thousands across the nation and the world.
